Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 in Barcelona.

Earlier this month the Luxavo team of engineers visited the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 in Barcelona. As they now reflect on their annual pilgrimage to all things technichal within the world of smart integrated technology, here are just few of the key takeaways our engineers reported back.

Luxavo integrators visiting ISE 2026 highlighted a clear shift toward simplification, interoperability, and intelligent automation across professional AV technologies. One of the strongest themes was the growing maturity of AV-over-IP ecosystems, enabling video, audio, and control to run on standard networks. Integrators noted that technologies such as SMPTE-based video-over-IP and audio networking now allow tighter synchronisation and greater scalability while reducing cabling complexity and installation costs. These networked workflows also support flexible system expansion and remote management—key benefits for enterprise deployments.

Another major takeaway was the rapid rise of AI-driven collaboration tools. Many of our team of integrators emphasised integrated videobars, intelligent cameras, and smart meeting room platforms designed to improve hybrid work. For example, all-in-one conferencing devices combining multiple cameras, computing systems, and flexible installation options help streamline deployment while enhancing user experience. AI-enabled video systems also demonstrated visual reasoning and automation capabilities that simplify tracking and content production workflows.

Display innovation was another key highlight. Luxavo integrators pointed to advances such as ultra-thin LED and MicroLED panels, high-contrast MiP LED technology, and chip-on-glass displays that reduce bezels while improving uniformity and reliability. These features enable more immersive visual environments, making them particularly attractive for retail, corporate command centers, and large-scale experiential installations. Wide-format 21:9 ultra-high-resolution displays also stood out for collaborative spaces because they support multi-window workflows and more natural content sharing.

Cloud-based management platforms were widely seen as transformational. Our engineers praised centralised monitoring tools that provide real-time alerts, visual floor plans, and remote configuration capabilities. These systems reduce maintenance costs, improve reliability, and allow IT teams to manage complex AV deployments across multiple locations from a single interface.

In the residential space, the team observed a strong shift toward whole-home ecosystems rather than isolated smart devices. New platforms showcased unified control of lighting, climate, security, entertainment, and energy management through single interfaces. AI-powered automation was a major focus, enabling homes to learn occupant behaviors and adjust settings automatically to improve comfort and efficiency. Integrators also highlighted improved interoperability standards, reducing compatibility issues between brands. Benefits included easier installation, stronger cybersecurity frameworks, and enhanced energy optimisation features. Overall, the smart home trend emphasised simplicity, reliability, and seamless user experience, making advanced automation more accessible to mainstream homeowners.

Finally, the Luxavo team of smart integrators highlighted the broader trend toward fully integrated ecosystems. Rather than focusing on standalone hardware, manufacturers showcased unified solutions combining hardware, software, and data analytics. This convergence allows organisations to optimise space utilisation, improve operational efficiency, and deliver consistent user experiences across hybrid workplaces, digital signage networks, and immersive environments.

Overall, integrators left ISE 2026 with a clear message: the future of AV lies not just in better devices, but in smarter, connected, and easier-to-manage systems that deliver measurable business value and user experience.
